Useful Information

What fuel should I use?

All our bikes should be used in conjunction with standard unleaded petrol.

Do I need a CBT?

This largely depends on the size of the engine. If the bike has a 50cc engine (ie: a moped) you will only need to complete a CBT if you obtained your full car licence after 31st January 2001.

If you are looking to ride a 125cc scooter or motorcycle then you will need to complete a CBT in all circumstances.

To ride anything with a larger engine than 125cc, you will need a full bike licence (A or A2 Class). In order to take a full bike test however you will need to have firstly completed a CBT and Motorcycle Theory Test.

What is a CBT?

Compulsory basic training (CBT) was introduced in 1990 to help reduce the very high accident rate among inexperienced motorcyclists. CBT must be completed before a learner moped or motorcycle rider is allowed to ride unaccompanied on the road with L-plates or D-plates in Wales.
